How Cinderholt Fire Testing Ltd handles personal data from enquiries, test programmes and site visits.
Who we are
Cinderholt Fire Testing Ltd (registered in England & Wales, company no. 03551908) operates a testing laboratory at Bay 4, Templeborough Works, Sheffield Road, Rotherham S60 1DX. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.
What we hold
Enquiries and quotations
Name, company, contact details and the technical description of the product. Used to quote and to run the programme. Enquiries that do not become work are deleted after twelve months.
Test records
Specimen submission forms, chain of custody, test data, photographs, video and the issued report are retained for ten years. Fire test evidence is relied on across the life of a building, and a shorter period would leave clients unable to substantiate a specification.
Witnessed tests and visits
Visitor names and companies are recorded for site safety and held for two years. CCTV in the yard and the halls is retained for 31 days.
Website
No analytics, no advertising cookies, no tracking scripts. Photographs load from an external image host, which receives your IP address as part of delivering the image.
Confidentiality
Test data and reports are confidential to the commissioning client. We do not disclose that a product was tested, still less how it performed, to anyone else — including a competitor, a certification body or a journalist — without written instruction, unless the law compels it.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure where we have no continuing obligation to retain, restriction or portability. Write to privacy@cinderholt.com. We respond within one month. Complaints may be made to the Information Commissioner's Office.
